{Two Sisters} Seattle Area Child Photographer

I’m a out loud talker. If I’m in the grocery store, I’m the person talking about what’s on my list, and where can I find the red wine vinegar. My husband makes fun of me for doing this, but even he concedes that when you ask for something, you have a better chance of someone [...]

I’m a out loud talker. If I’m in the grocery store, I’m the person talking about what’s on my list, and where can I find the red wine vinegar. My husband makes fun of me for doing this, but even he concedes that when you ask for something, you have a better chance of someone answering your question than if you never ask aloud. The age old adage, “ask and you shall receive”. Along that vein, a friend of mine was posting on a social media site that all her parents wanted for Christmas was a picture of both her girls together in the dresses they received from grandma. There were several problems with getting the picture as a) my friend works out of the house, b) the girls are both under the age of three and dragging them to the mall seemed like a chore and c) it was about a week before Christmas. I offered to come over to her home and take pictures of her girls for her. I’m way behind in my blogging, since these pictures were taken last month, but it was a win-win situation for everyone. Thank you for letting me photograph your adorable daughters!

Meet Older Sis. She was a hoot to capture on camera, and was so fun!

Ok, sit primly in this chair? I can do that for you, Ms. Photographer.

Little Sister was a tougher nut to crack to get to smile at me.

Look at those eyes! So soulful.

Older Sis was a dream, she pretty much did anything I asked. I love her expression here! It came out a lot.

But oh so adorable.

I finally coaxed a real smile from Little Sister

Oh look, I got them both into the same frame! Aren’t those dresses just precious?

And a last picture of a pretty pretty pink princess.

{Oh So Silly} Seattle Area Child Lifestyle Photographer

January 30th, 2012

So picture this scene. I’ve got the boys fed. Everyone’s gone potty. They aren’t fighting with each other. No lego robot wars are going on, or any stealth ninja Jedi swordfights. They even agree to sit on my little photography setup next to each other and I think, oh goodie! I’m finally going to get [...]

They even agree to sit on my little photography setup next to each other and I think, oh goodie! I’m finally going to get a nice shot of the boys together!

Then I snap the picture and get this. Ah well. I can always try another day. As much as I love the posed shots, I think the silly shots show off their personality much better.

Baby B. is the daughter of one of my closest friends, and I was so excited to be able to photograph her in all her newborn goodness.  She came three weeks early but was still sleepy and squishy for the session.  My favorites were of her and big brother {Master J.} who I have photographed before as well.  I love sibling shots, when everyone is being cooperative!  Here’s a peek at {Baby B.}, I hope you find her as beautiful as I did!

Meet beautiful {Baby B.}

Such a lovely, cloth diapered baby!

My favorites are capturing moments like this between mommy and her new daughter

Look at those pouty lips

What’s better than kisses from big brother and dad?

Such a sweet look from big brother here.  I also love his hand on her back

All snugged up in daddy’s hands

A quiet moment between mom, dad, and newest addition

Look at all the toesies and feet!

Love this one of mommy and baby outdoors

You know I can never resist a baby in a hat!

I photographed {the D. Family} this summer to celebrate their adorable boys turning three and one respectively.  In my experience three year olds are the best age to photograph!  Master T proved me right, and was a total ham for my camera.  I loved seeing his personality come out in the pictures.  Master D was your typical one year old and through lots of bribery, he allowed me to photograph him as well.  Here’s a peek into their session!

Meet {Master T}, age 3 and proud of it!

Hello folks!  I took a break this summer as I spent more time with my family, and tried to adjust the balance between doing photography sessions and family life.  It’s been a challenge at times, and I thank everyone for their patience this summer!

I got back into the action photographing this delicious newborn boy last week.  He was very alert and awake, and poor little bub just wanted to nurse from his mama.  It made for a interesting photo shoot, but we got some beautiful awake baby shots before we finally got some fun sleeping baby shots.  Introducing baby boy P!

What do I love doing with sleeping babies?  Use them as hat stands!

Mama had such great homemade hats for me to use as props!
