Baby W was a dream baby. He pretty much slept and let me pose him any which way for the entire session. The family was so laid back and go with the flow, even when we had the inevitable accidents which happen when you hold a naked newborn. I also captured one of my favorite [...]

Baby W was a dream baby. He pretty much slept and let me pose him any which way for the entire session. The family was so laid back and go with the flow, even when we had the inevitable accidents which happen when you hold a naked newborn. I also captured one of my favorite sibling poses ever in this session, with Baby W. and big brother. Thank you for letting me into your home and capturing these sweet moments with Baby W!

Meet Baby W.

He was a looooooooooong baby. So adorable and squishy though.

Contemplative baby.

These cute hats were knitted by Baby W’s aunt.

Adorable frog baby!

The sweet daisies were placed there by big brother

He slept through pretty much the entire session and let me pose him

I’m very behind on my blog posting! This sweet family was actually shot back in September 2010. Baby A was adorable and so alert for a newborn. I have to admit, all the baby girl newborn sessions end up with very alert and sweet babies. Baby boy newborns tend to be sleepier. I guess girls [...]

I have to admit, all the baby girl newborn sessions end up with very alert and sweet babies. Baby boy newborns tend to be sleepier. I guess girls really do want to have fun!

Meet Baby A.

Hello, pleased to meet you sweetness! Look at that eye contact for a newborn, so alert!

Taking a moment with dad

I love how little she looks in dad’s hands here.

I did manage to capture some sleeping shots as well.

Hello Miss A!

Big brother snuck in for a shot or two as well.

So much cuteness in one family.

Once outside she did cooperate to fall asleep

Mom and Baby A

The entire family. Thank you for letting me capture this moment for you!

I had the pleasure of photographing Baby S. this weekend. I had photographed her brother when he was about five months old, so it was nice to come back and visit the family. Big brother is now a big boy of three, and was a very good helper during little sister’s photoshoot. Thank you for [...]

Big brother is now a big boy of three, and was a very good helper during little sister’s photoshoot. Thank you for allowing me to come capture Baby S and your entire sweet family! Enjoy your sneak peek.

Meet Baby S. Don’t let this picture fool you, we spent a big part of the day trying to get her to sleep.

Look at Miss Sweetness!

you’re never too young for diamonds

Mom told me that she came out with her hands wrapped around her ears, so we recreated that pose here. Heh!

having a mom and daughter chat

Dad was pretty awesome in being able to lull Baby S to sleep

Sweet sibling kisses

Big smiles from big brother

This picture doesn’t show it, but it was very windy and COLD this day. The family trooped out twice to have a family picture in the wind and cold, you can’t even tell, don’t they look happy?

Baby E., his three year old brother, and his parents came to visit me today for his newborn shoot. Baby E is a fireball who came four weeks early, so at the shoot today he was about the size of a full term newborn, about seven pounds. I have to admit, I have a real [...]

Baby E., his three year old brother, and his parents came to visit me today for his newborn shoot. Baby E is a fireball who came four weeks early, so at the shoot today he was about the size of a full term newborn, about seven pounds. I have to admit, I have a real soft spot in my heart taking pictures of brothers together, and I was happy that Big Brother O. was amicable to posing with Baby Brother E for me and the camera. Even if I did have to break out the sweethart candy bribes. Big welcome to Baby E and congratulations on the new addition to the family!

Meet Baby E. I love shots like this, because it shows you just how tiny they are at this moment, and they’re never going to be this tiny again. Here he is, cradled by daddy.

Giddy up, little cowboy

Such sweetness! I love just how peaceful he looks here.

Don’t let all the sleeping poses fool you, he was a tough cookie to get to stay asleep. But when he was asleep, you could just nom on his little nose.

This is my favorite brother pose. Big brother is all, what IS this in my lap? Baby E is all, hey, I’m cool, just chillin’ in my blanket which matches my eyes.

Big Brother wasn’t so sure about all this picture taking.

They were much happier outside, I even got a little smile!

The new family of four!

One of the wonderful things about living in this technological world is making friends with people both near and far from you. People with whom you may never have interacted with or been able to meet before, people who become friends who support you through the times of joy and the times of sorrow. One of these friendships I made through an online journaling group, and she recently had a baby which I was blessed to meet and photograph. Thank you for letting me capture this sweet moment of his life!

Meet Baby B, newest addition to the family!

Don’t let that first picture fool you, he was awake for most of the photoshoot, checking things out.

But when we did get him asleep, he was oh so sweet.

I call this his fighter pose. Check out the little fists!

I love getting pictures of mom and baby together. So often we’re behind the cameras, and don’t get to capture these moments with our kids.

Since he wasn’t sleeping, we took him outside and let him check out the world. Hello world!

We snuck in a picture or two with dad as well.

He still doesn’t look too sure about this “outside” concept

And a family shot as well
